Georgia 911
Welcome to the cyberhome of the Georgia Chapters of APCO and NENA. We are proud to have joined together to bring the resources of the two largest and most powerful organizations dedicated to the improvement and advancement of public safety communications in the world.
Although we remain two seperate organizations, our missions are essentially the same. You may find information on our seperate chapters on our respective pages.
Collaboration is the key to building and maintaining Georgia's role as a leader in public safety communications. Toward that end, Georgia APCO and NENA joined together in 2009 to present the Georgia Emergency Communications Conference. The GECC was so successful that in December of 2009, the Officers of both chapters entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to continue to jointly host this outstanding training and networking event through 2012. Check out the latest news about our upcoming events on the GECC page.
In the past, our chapters have joined together to support the establishment of a Georgia 9-1-1 Director's Association as a means of monitoring and influencing legislation that effects the public safety communications system in Georgia. You will find information regarding meetings and current issues on the Director's page.
We hope that you will find this site informative and easy to use. Look around and let us know what you think!
